How many times have you taken a photograph of what you think will look magnificent only to get home and view the picture and find yourself disappointed? What many people don't realise that how we perceive something and how it is can be two completely different things.

The memories that we retain are never exactly how it was... there will always be an element of a view that every person remembers in particular above all others. It may be the way in which the light is reflecting off a glistening lake or it may simply be the couple wandering hand in hand in the distance.

For me a photograph is never just a photograph... it can always be more... in fact for me it always is. Whenever I undertake a commissioned piece I always strive to put forward and image that no-one has ever seen before despite the view having been gazed upon time and time again.
