Some of the best pictures are those which are taken when the subject is not quite expecting it, when they are simply enjoying themselves and the picture captures that joy. I don't believe in taking the type of staged portrait that many photographers take on a daily basis. I believe that natural shots can offer so much more and portray the "real" character of the subject.

Whenever I undertake a portrait shoot I like to be with my subject for a good length of time. If it is children for example an ideal location can be at the park with their parents, where they are enjoying themselves with those they love.

However taking the picture is only where the creative process begins. By working with the picture I can then make subtle changes that create an even more special memory. Then this memory can be transferred onto canvas or any number of special papers for a truly unique portrait.

Currently based in Manjimup in Western Australia (but soon relocating to Perth), I service a large area of the state.
